What size do you think is to big for an Android tablet? Ten inches usually seems like the limit, but Samsung might be breaking through those boundaries with their rumored 18.4 inch tablet.
SamMobile claims that this tablet is codenamed 'Tahoe', and it will run Android 5.1 Lollipop, on of course, an 18.4 inch display. It is expected to have an octa-core 1.6GHz Exynos pr ocessor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that should support up to 128GB, and a 5,700 mAh battery. The display should have a 1920x1080 resolution, which is a little low for 18.4 inches, but it is the only way to maintain a good battery life.
You would think a tablet this big would be ridiculous, but there are some really good uses for it. You could possibly place this tablet down on a large table, and instead of using your traditional pencil and paper, you would be able to draw fairly large pictures. This is something that Samsung is probably thinking about. They could take the well known stylus from their Note phones and include it in this tablet to add more functionality.
There isn't much word on if or when it will be released and what the price will be, so we will just have to wait and see what happens. Check back to this blog every once in a while for some more posts!
